The Castle
the Queen Dairy and the Shell Cottage The castle acquired by Louis XVI in 1783, gradually transformed into a charming
residence, it has very beautiful Rococo and Neo-Pompeian style interiors. Surrounded by formal French gardens, canals, and six islands, the castle today was an official presidential estate, and received Heads of State invited to France. The castle is partially open for building renovations (the chateau may be subject to closing). Opening (chateau): Guided visits every day except Tuesday. Closed on the 1st of January, 1st of May, 1st and 11th of November and 25th of December. Hours: consult us.
