The dining room of the Presidents of the Republic
It was in this vast room with its white wood panelling that the first ever G6 summit was held in 1975.The prestigious guests included Valérie Giscard d'Estain (France), Takeo Miki (Japan) and Gérald Ford (USA). The table has been identically laid.
The English garden and the Chaumière aux Coquillages
Stroll through this superb garden designed at the end of the 18th century.It features a river, small bridges and a delightful thatched cottage decorated with a multitude of shells.
The Queen's Dairy
This ceremonial dairy (a small building where the women of the nobility came to enjoy dairy products) was given to Marie-Antoinette by King Louis XVI.It is a small pavilion similar to an ancient temple, with a monumental grotto inside.
The Emperor's flat
After 1? years of restoration work, the Emperor's flat is ready to welcome you back. This is where Napoleon lived during the 60 days he spent at the Château de Rambouillet.Until 21 April 2024, you can also discover the fascinating exhibition ‘Rambouillet 1950, in the intimacy of the presidents’.
